Obedience training should start right away as well. Remember the Dachshund tends to be somewhat stubborn. Sessions of obedience training should be short but frequent. These sessions to be no more than 15 minutes each but occur 3-4 times a day.

The best train to provide training is just before meal time. The dog will be more energetic than he would be after just eating, dogs don’t feel like exerting themselves right after they’ve eaten.
